A Birthday Surprise :)

Unbeknownst to most of you, I had my birthday two fridays ago. Ever since I was young, I have always looked forward to my birthdays since I’ve always felt like it should be the best day of someone’s life. And even though 21 is not necessarily a young age anymore, this year was no birthday, I still waited for December 2 like a little girl waiting for Santa.

And I was not disappointed! Without me knowing, my boyfriend tapped my friends back to help him do a surprise for me! It was really sweet because he even talked to some of my friends whom he did not know. I actually did the same thing for his birthday, and even though I gathered more (sorry babe, better luck next time! :p), the thought of what he did for me still makes me very grateful :)

Enough blabbering, let me show you what he and some of my friends did for me:

This is Katherine Maala (her tumblr here) one of my closest friends at my old school. She calls me Bea Ko and I call her Katkat Ko. Back then, we’d always wait for each other (with a few other friends) and have lunch together at this place we call Gate 3. (Useless Fact: the university where i used to go to practices vegetarianism, being the carnivores that we are, we can’t last a whole week with just vegetables or vegemeat so we go to the aforementioned place to eat the closest to meat we could get to: CANNED GOODS!) We also went to malls and other places together. I super love this girl to bits!

This, on the other hand, is Rocky (who also happens to have a tumblr). I have a few guy friends and he is one of the closest that I have. He and I are friends with Katherine, so the places that I mentioned that Kat and I go to, well, he’s there, as well. This guy can be mean and kind at the same time! I can’t quite explain it but he’s kind of a bully and a gentleman at once. Kind of like a bipolar person! He is really funny, though, and he has the most contagious laughter I have heard so far!

And then we have Donna, I call her Dude. She was my roommate back then and almost kind of, like, my sister. And you know how sisters are, right? Yes, endless bickering! LOL! During those times, we used to fight a lot, or, at least, she bullies me (PEACE, DONNA!). But as time goes by, we learned to fully love each other. Right now, she is one of the most supportive friends that I have and I can tell that she has never forgotten. Even though she’s in the States, she never fails to post on my wall or comment on my photos. I miss her a lot :(

Kimmy and I go way back, we met and became friends when we were still in kindergarten! She is also one of my high school girlfriends, and, as they say it, the friends that you are sure to keep are the ones you make in Highschool. Kimmy and I understand each other, especially when it comes to relationships. We go through almost the same things and I felt like that made our bond stronger. She’s always been there for me and I am very grateful for her :)

The girl on the left is Kimberly, my other High school girlfriend (i have two more but they were very busy because of work and church. I spent time with them though, so it’s fine), one of the toughest girls I know. I admire her for not fearing anything (or if she does, she doesn’t show it!), and for standing strong in our religion (we are both Adventists). She also has one of the nicest, most calming voice I have ever heard.

On the left, you could see Rose, one of the friends I’ve made at our new school. I love how she never judges anyone, her words are always kind and well chosen.

This is Kuya Estong, he calls me Ganda and I call him Sexy. I really can’t remember how our friendship started, all I know is that he had been a confidante (although it was only through chat) and adviser to me. You can tell that Kuya Estong is a really good person because of the many friends that he has who, like me, treasures him.

This is Frances, also a good friend of mine. I tell some of my secrets and stories to her. She is also one of the people I talk to about fashion. It’s nice to have someone listen to me while I rant incessantly about clothes and shoes, I love sharing my passion and advices to her about the matter.

And of course, the man who started it all, My Patrick. When I saw this photo, I was a little disappointed at the fact that he made it on the computer and didn’t even bother to print it. I was a little annoyed when I saw this photo on the album that he made.

But that was until I saw this:

I know it’s the same photo and but let me explain. My boyfriend works at our local government and every night, they would conduct a film viewing for the residents of Sison (our town) at our town’s plaza. The movies that they show are in his laptop which they connect to the projector to be flashed in a huge wall. To  make the story short, the photo that was in his laptop was projected in front people who attended the film viewing, about 80 or more of them! 80 people who I do not know, and probably some officials, too! It was a good thing that I wasn’t there because I’d surely be red with embarrassment, in a good way, though! It was the sweetest thing someone’s ever done to me.

So, that pretty much sums my birthday surprise up. I’d like to thank everyone who participated and also to those who took the time to greet me through text, facebook, twitter, and even here on tumblr. You all made my birthday feel really special, suuuuper thank you! And thank you, Patrick, for being the mastermind of all this ;)

XO
