Hey guys! My boyfriend, Patrick, and I have decided to make a food blog together featuring restaurants here in North Luzon (specifically Pangasinan and Baguio). Please please please visit our blog, we would love to share good places for you all to visit :)
If you’ll ask me the what things I like that start with the letter F, I could think of a lot of things: Fashion, Fall (even if we don’t have it here in the Philippines), Flowers and so much more. But there’s one F that Pat and I love a lot. Clue: it’s a four-letter word and we enjoy it together…FOOD (you and your dirty mind)!
I was looking at our Facebook albums and I noticed that we’ve eaten a lot of food together, so might as well make a post about it, right?
Note: Please pardon the bad quality of the other photos. Didn’t even bother to edit them. LOL
Of course, the first set of photos would be from our favorite food-chain, McDonalds!
If you bring Patrick and I to McDonalds, you won’t have ask us what we want. We practically always buy a BigMac for him and a Quarter Pounder for me. But if funds are not sufficient (THAT will NOT stop us from going to McDonalds, seriously), we’d just get a bunch of cheeseburgers and we’re equally happy.
Of course we’d get other food too when we want to try something else. My Quarter Pounder substitute will always be McChicken and Spaghetti.
Another favorite restaurant/cafe that we frequent (not just because it’s the nearest but also because the food is REALLY great) is SOUL Cafe in Udiao, La Union.

Dory Fish Fillet something. I forgot what it’s called but it’s really good. The only meal that can make me eat fish and zucchini and actually enjoy it.

Strawberry Crepe. This was actually so good! I think they soaked the strawberries in simple syrup because it’s so sweet, no hint of sourness at all.

Even if we’ve only went once, I can never forget Silver Spoon Cafe in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. It’s one of the coziest coffee shops I’ve been in and they have really great coffee and food. They’re not like other coffee shops here in the province wherein they have different coffee names but the flavors are all the same!

And then there’s Mang Inasal, another food chain that we visited because it’s nearby. If you’re from the Philippines, you’d be very familiar with their huge serving of Chicken Inasal and unlimited rice.

Isdaan, Fresh Catch - We went there in January with Pat’s sisters to celebrate our 2nd year together. It’s a little expensive, but the place was nice so it’s kinda worth it.

O Mai Khan - One of Pat and I’s favorite restaurant. We usually compete on who makes the best Mongolian Barbecue. In my perspective, I always win but he thinks he does. Meh, to each his own, right? Also, they have the best desserts! Cheesecakes, Choco Cream Pies, Lemon Meringue Pie. Yum!

Today, Patrick and I are celebrating our 32nd month together so please allow me to indulge in stories about us. We went on a date two Sundays ago in Baguio. I do know that we were going to Baguio but I didn’t know what we were going to do because he planned everything for us. He felt that I deserved a little break since we hadn’t gone out for awhile.
We left at around 8:00am sharp because he wanted to spend the whole day with me :)
The views on the way to Baguio are quite breathtaking. To be honest, I’ve only realized it that Sunday probably because we always go there.
We arrived at 9am and went straight to Army Navy to get some brunch. Their tacos and quesadillas are so goood!

We went to this road on the way to Suello Village to take outfit shoots. If the dress looks familiar, it’s because I posted about it here. Yes, we took the photos on the day of the date, it’s part of his plan! He tells me that he doesn’t want anyone else to take my photos, he wants to always takes my outfit shots for me. So supportive, right????
He also told me that part of our date was him reviewing my driving skills. I haven’t been behind the wheel in two years and I miss driving a lot, I just can’t drive our van because it’s too big and it’s automatic (walang challenge. LOL!).
After the driving lessons, he brought me to John Hay. I thought we were going to do another shoot which at that time I really didn’t want to do anymore because I felt too tired. Imagine my relief and excitement when I found out that we were going Mini Golfing… “FUN FUN FUN FUN” (Rebecca Black, 2011)!!!

January 18, 2010 — The start of the rest of our lives. :) Yiiiiiiii Cheesy! :p
In all 18 holes, I only won 2 and he got the rest of it, he even had a hole-in-one!
As I’ve mentioned in the last post, it was pretty humid that day so we bought ourselves some FIC.
We went to SM afterwards to shop and get lunch/dinner. I was craving Savory Chicken that day. I love their gravy!
Combo B: 1/2 Savory Chicken, Creamy Fish (A MUST EAT!), Pancit and Turon.
I had a lot of fun that day. It was so sweet of Pat to bring me on a date and I’m so grateful to have him in my life :)

it has been 22 years since you came into our lives as a loving son, a responsible kuya, a caring boyfriend, a hard-working employee, a fun-loving friend and even a patient driver (haha). But even with all those roles and obligations, you never complained, you did everything for everybody around you yet you never cared about how much you are missing for your self and you NEVER asked for anything in return.
But today is your day. So we want to thank you for all the things that you have done for us and let you know that you will always have our support no matter what. Happy birthday, my Patrick Julaton! I know that you don’t wish happiness for yourself because you are so busy making other people feel that way, including me. So this year, I will be the one to wish that for you. I hope that you will always find happiness in everything that you do, baby. And may you never grow tired of taking care of the people around you. I love you baby!I may not be able to even level with the kind of love that you gave me, but I hope it’s close :)

suuuper late post (and photo-heavy, too)!
Last month, the boyf and I marked our 2nd year of being together. But because I had work on the actual date, we celebrated a few days earlier. We went to Isdaan, Fresh Catch in Gerona, Tarlac because I know that the place has lots of sights to…well…see! I suggested for us to go there because Patrick’s cutie sisters came with us and I knew that they’d enjoy the place because it had this fun ambiance.

The view from our kubo. Every group of guests are assigned one where a table and two benches are situated. They make it look as if you’re eating above the water.
We had sashimi, bulalo, tocino and bakang maanghang for lunch. We almost finished everything. The food was a bit pricey but everything was actually quite good.
After the meal, we decided to go around the place and take photos. Lots of it!
All of these are found inside (or outside, since it’s outdoors) the restaurant. The place actually does not have one theme. It’s kinda like random statues and other things are found inside, which, for me at least, makes it more fun.
Funny story, we found a fish on the tiles that probably fell out of the elevated pond. Arri here is trying help the fish by putting it back to the water. The fish kept squirming so Arianne kept screaming. And for PETA’s sake, I’m not going to continue this story. HAHA! But in Arri’s defense, her intentions were good. :))
After lunch, we went to the mall to watch Alvin and The Chipmunks and shop for a few things.
I had soooo much fun that day and it’s all thanks to the only love of my life :)
Happy 24 months (25 months, in a few days) to us, baby!
